The video below is what seems to be a documentary on the rising success of both Downtown stars … or is it?

They sure are young, wonder if this has ever been subtitled?

I think there would be lots of interest in Downtown subbed material from 1982 (debut year) to 1989 (move to Tokyo and premiere of Gaki no Tsukai).

How do we get those who are willing to do subbing work to rally around this idea?

You can’t ask to the subbers to help you, the only way to have them subbed is tht you have to know japanese.

Yes more from archive material the early eighties would be wonderful, But then comes the challenge to find amble quality video to subtitle to, which can be hard to find! ;(

I’ve found a number of old videos on youtube with okay quality.
