Gaki No Tsukai Wikipedia Page

Folks, it’s not a secret that the Gaki No Tsukai article on Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downtown_n … _Arahende!! ) is in dire shape. Yes, there’s plenty of content, but the style of the article, sourcing and layout are dreadful. I’ve made some edits, but amount of work is huge.

This is why I’m calling every single user on these forums who can contribute, to participate in this. Our target will be to improve the article so that it’s eligible for the Good Article status on the Wikipedia ( here’s the criteria[/url:2vpqbbtz] ), for which we’ll have to do various things, including:
[list:2vpqbbtz]
[:2vpqbbtz]Editing the cast section: main cast is not described at all, while minor appearances like the African TV staff are.[/:m:2vpqbbtz]
[:2vpqbbtz]Reworking the segment section: Batsu Games need to be categorized ( I’ve already made an attempt on this, thinking that every game that happened before Hot Springs ( + Vladivostok ) should be counted as minor ones ), perhaps the whole thing should be transferred to a separate article[/:m:2vpqbbtz]
[:2vpqbbtz]Entries on games other than Batsu need to be edited as well - for example, up until now Chinko Machine and Marshmallow Rubber Band games were listed separately, but, as we all know, they are just a couple of games played during Ōgiri Daigassen ( is the spelling right, by the way ? ), others including spelling, drawing and various other games.[/:m:2vpqbbtz][/list:u:2vpqbbtz]

There’s no need for sign-ups, since everyone can start improving the article right away, but for the purpose of cooperation, if you are going to take a particular segment, feel free to post the information about it here.

Thanks for your time!
How can we do this ? One of the sources is the Japanese article on Gaki[/url:2vpqbbtz], so those of you who do speak both good Japanese and English can definitely use that, while others can use all the videos which can be found here, on this forum.

FYI, I’ve been working on the article for the past little while, using Google Translate to get info out of the version on the Japanese wikipedia. The main things I’ve done so far is to restructure the Cast section, lengthen the lede, and add the DVDs as references for the batsu games. I’m having a lot of trouble finding reliable English-language sources, though, so if anyone could present some (i.e. books, news (not blogs), magazine articles, etc) it’d make it a lot easier. It’ll probably take a while to get the article up to GA status, but we should be able to do it as long as the prose is well-written, complete, and verifiable with adequate sources.
