Well, crap… This is just not going anywhere good. Hopefully I can get all the files from Zurai’s fileserve before that closes as well… With the rate the free account is going it’s not looking all that good :/.

Guess we are going to have to start relying on torrents form now on or something even weirder/older like DC :).

from filesonic’s front page:
"All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally."

wow this sux, back up all ur damn porn before its too late!!!

Seriously, this is a bad sign.

America: Land of the everything but free.

Well, US citizens need to wake up anyway: http://investmentwatchblog.com/threaten … atens-all/

or

or

for example. There are enough other up to date examples. Sitting at home and complaining won’t change anything anyway.

Fileserve also down

THANK GOODNESS.
Downloading files from there sucked hardcore.

Internet closed.

[quote:3fyojpoq]Dear FileServe users,
Between 2AM and 5AM EST, our host will be performing maintenance on the system.

Please notice that this maintenance can affect your download, the remote upload and webupload.

We will be back up and fully functional after this maintenance.

Best regards,
Fileserve[/quote:3fyojpoq]

Back then they burned books or hide them in celders. Wisdom is not good for the majority and uncontrolled information flow isn’t either. Not good for oppressors.

Dame ;( , yesterday i was downloading airport butsu game [1280x720] (HD, 720p, 60fps) from filesonic ,it was half downloaded then suddenly it stopped downloading , ;( ;( ;( i had both filesonic and megaupload accounts but now ;( the internet is dying ;(

Uploadstation closed…

This forum now needs a much improved crying emoticon to portray this sadness.

There’s this great uploading site I’ve just discovered, it’s called minus.

www.minus.com

x7.to -> shutting down too

Ever since TPB problems with Swedish police, I knew DDL would never work. Torrents and decentralized file sharing will come alive again.

Fileserve is down too…F+ck !

Fileserve down… This is one black day.

On the bright side, Rapidshare and Uploaded.to stated, that they won’t shutdown.

Here is Rapidshare’s statement on their Facebook page:

Dear RapidShare fans,
You posted some comments on our wall today regarding the shutdown of Megaupload. There is no reason to be concerned. We distinguish ourselves from services like Megaupload in many major issues and we aren’t threatened in any way. One of the main differences between RapidShare and Megaupload is that we never wanted to escape from the legal access of any administration. RapidShare AG was founded in Switzerland, was always based at the address cited in the imprint and was always managed with an authentic name without any anonymous intermediary companies. The drastic measures against Megaupload were obviously seen as necessary by the FBI because the situation was different there.
We wish you a great time with RapidShare!

Apparently Filesonic & Filepost are moving their servers out of the USA, they should be back in a couple weeks.

Russia and Canada are the possible options according to some reddit feeds.
