Ok, I've hardcoded some movies using Vdub using SSA files but I would like to hardcode movies using ASS files, is there a tutorial for this?

Thanks.

hey, Cyboman

i alway do hardsub version, but this video/dvd cant do hardsub coz the main reason is the file will be too big (1.5GB or more) unless u target file are smaller...

but who knows, if u can do (below than 2GB) that g8...

if u looking for tutorial, u can find it in aegisub forum
or virtualdub website.

Here's another site that I found useful if you wanna hardcode subs from .ass format and a few others using virtualdub (it's also got some links for a subtitle addon for Vdub) HERE

Really helped me, I wanted to hardcode the subs so I could play the Gaki series through my Xbox 360 on mah tv :D

I reccomend that you encode the vids with the Xvid codec with a target quantizer of about 10.00 - 7.00, that should retain a fair bit of quality while dropping the file size (I'm not an expert, i have just done some experimenting)

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your help, yes this seems to be the way to go for me, I left the TQ at the default 4 just to see how it goes, thanks again!

No worries, glad I could be of assistance. It's not a bad combo, vdub + vobsub :D let me know how the conversion goes in regards to size with the TQ as 4 if you don't mind

I got 1.85 gig using TQ 4, which is fine, it looks identical to the original so im happy. Thanks again!

sweet, good result! Glad to help

Happy Hardcoding XD
