Here’s where the worlds of Downtown and the Iron Chefs collide!

(Alternate Megaupload Link forthcoming)

OA: 12.27.1999
Subtitles: English

Background: Earlier in 1999, Hitoshi Matsumoto and entertainer Masaharu Fukuyama had a billiards contest that failed to resolve their rivalry.

Therefore, the two decided to finish it once and for all.

The final battle between the two would be a full-on “Iron Chef” battle using the actual Kitchen Stadium set from the 1993-1999 Fuji Television cooking competition series. Also present were several actual members of the “Iron Chef” cast:

commentator Kenji Fukui[/url:3m5fpsng], food expert/commentator Dr. Yukio Hattori[/url:3m5fpsng], floor reporter Shinichiro Ohta[/url:3m5fpsng], as well as cameo appearances by two actual Iron Chefs-Iron Chef French II Hiroyuki Sakai[/color:3m5fpsng][/url:3m5fpsng] and Honorary Iron Chef Japanese I Rokusaburo Michiba[/color:3m5fpsng][/url:3m5fpsng] (the colors of the Iron Chefs’ names indicate their uniform colors).

Also, the four judges (their names escape me at the moment) have all judged actual I.C. battles in the past.

This is a condensed version of the actual episode, which I do not have at present.

Hello, I’ve found anther longer version! =D

Although I don’t know whether its the full one or not.

I did not sub the digest, otakusinc. I got it from a group that uploads original Japanese-language “Iron Chef” episodes for download.

There’s two other “Hey! Hey! Hey!” videos in the database at the address above. One features Iron Chef Sakai cooking for Downtown and their guest, XJapan co-founder Yoshiki[/url:2j825g1g], while the other has Takeshi Kaga (the Chairman on “Iron Chef” whom Hamada-san imitated in the clip I upped) singing his single, “Bon! BA la Bon.”[/url:2j825g1g]

To download these videos, you must register for the Filehouse. If you want, I can upload these too. (But be warned: these two videos DO NOT have subs.)

I don’t know if anyone has seen this. But i found a skit where Downtown did a parody of Iron Chef. You have to see it for yourself, even though it’s not subbed, its still funny to watch. Maybe someone on this awesome forum can sub it? its only 5 parts long, 10 minutes each part.

Here’s the link to part 1:

Enjoy!

Amazing find, thanks! They used the real set and had the real judges there, the real iron chefs were even there watching.

i know its pretty insane. you gotta think like, the kind of power and fame downtown has. It’s like anyone will do anything and will always agree to be a part of their shows. and whats also awesome is they have the original “KUMI-SAN!!” guy there too, the one who speaks like 100 words per milisecond

I think this isnt from Gaki No Tsukai but from ther Hey Hey music champ show. Still funny anyway XD

yeah it is from heyheyhey, i found a small clip of it with subtitles, unfortunately it’s only 6 minutes long.

If you’re able to, it’ll be great! Thanks a bunch! =D
