I have seen that old guy at the new year-shows when they sit and eat a lot together with lots of comedians and others, but who is he? And there are several other eps that is similar to this one. What are they doing? What is so funny with the concept that they have made several similar ones?

I was thinking that perhaps he was giving them "advice" that they then hafe to say thank you to and just accept, even if it is absurd. Is this correct in my thinking?
