-END-

uuuu~~
I want a picture-mail now <3
-END-

I'll just be waiting <3
I want one that is a little "ecchi" <3
Quickly, quickly~~~!

2nd:

Thanks for making me food on the show today.
It was really tasty...so I'd like you to make some just for me when I'm back in Tokyo.
-END-

Bear in mind that he keeps saying "hochii" instead of "hoshii", it's kind of cute. In a childish/girly way. Hence massively embarrassing.
With the third message, he says "I'll always be waiting", but that doesn't really sound the same in English.
Endo is a "Super Perverted"...Do-Hentai...isn't?
this might be why his wife got a divorce with him? or is there another reason?
i forgot to add this image. this is the first mail they show in the batsu. could you also please translate this aswell unclechan? thanks

apparently endo was a perv and this is the main reason why chiaki and him devorced. i really wish endo get rid of his hentai attitude and get back togeter with chiaki.
Based upon the way Chiaki was involved in this, and other batsu game's, I'd be confident enough to say Chiaki divorced because of this hentai attitude, but she wants to help him get over it and get back to him.

Here's my psychoanalysis, bear in mind, I'm not a psychology major... and even if I were it'd be a mistake to take this with any level of sincerity.

In the first batsu after they were divorced, she introduced the "Shin-onii" gag, which I think could be interpreted a variety of ways... what I'd mostly go with is she wanted to instill guilt in him, plausibly seek revenge, but mostly convey "she's in demand" and that he should respect the fact she chose him... Either way, if she was really sick of him and didn't care anymore, she'd just leave and not come back ever again. So... while this mostly was done in anger and to vent frustration... it was a sign that from the beginning the divorce wasn't really because she wanted to... although its clear the shin-onii gag was done with pure malice in mind.

In subsequent batsu game's she's still showed up in different ways, which I think was her subtle way of reminding him of her presence. It's plausible she hoped he would come back for her with this reminders.

Two years ago, the nanpa incident is likely independent of this, as in his writing style you could tell the girl he tried to nanpa wasn't taking it well at all, mostly disgusted and disturbed, and probably reported it to the producers. The other nanpa incident was more likely something the producers had to research for as the girl involved had a more timid air about her that hints it wasn't something she volunteered of her own interest. With the tone and wording choice Chiaki demonstrated in this year's batsu it seems she worked with the producers to setup this scene for the ultimate emotional shock-therapy session to try and get Endou on the right path... the biggest hunch towards this was the Endou's mom laughing at the whole scenario which I think surmised because she was probably flattered that Chiaki is going to such great lengths to help Endou out... otherwise, this laughter might be an indication the parents don't take the matter as seriously... although I think its much more likely that Chiaki is going out of her way to help Endou than anything...

One other thing: There were a lot of subtle social ques that Endou was going to get a huge bash of embarassment later on in the show (foreshadowing)... a big reg flag being the same magazine showing up in the desks twice.

Finally, this "shock therapy" seemed to have worked on Endou, as when he got on the boat he zoned out and Hamada-san had to tell him to "pull himself together" for the quality of the batsu. At the time of the batsu game airing, it seems he has thought about the matter a lot since then, he is considerably more timid about the matter and in either months to come, or already has, asked for forgiveness from Chiaki at the very least... I think it is likely Chiaki and Endou will re-marry since this incident, however Endou also seems to be somewhat thick... and as for whether he will make the connection that Chiaki is making such great efforts for him or not is debatable... if he makes the connection that's where this likelihood to re-marry comes about, if he doesn't make this connection it's likely he'll stop being a hentai and show more respect towards women, but there also remains the possibility he gives into his hentai temptations and ends up hopelessly being stuck in a hentai mentality until an even greater social pressure shows up (by then it'd probably be jail time... hence the trial like atmosphere of this incident, a subtle hint by everyone what path he's on).

Bear in mind that he keeps saying "hochii" instead of "hoshii", it's kind of cute. In a childish/girly way. Hence massively embarrassing.

In my not-so humble opinion (that should be humbler), I think it's less the matter of being cute that's embarassing, but more the fact his cuteness was a "private" communication style only meant for the "nanpa" victims and for his private intentions to be exposed publicly is a greater embarrassment to his man-ego than to just come across as feminine. Although I agree though, that in doing so he presented himself in an almost submissive light towards the women, almost making them out to be his master with his desperation, which the reversal in dominance would be another blow to his ego's concern for his public image as a man. If anything, both were large contributors towards this "shock therapy"...

I think you are going way overboard with the speculation. I seriously doubt Chiaki had much else to do with Batsu Game appearances than following the scripts the Gaki staff presented. Her appearance was just a step further from the "I <3 CHIAKI" shirt (from High School) and the photos and a cameo (in Hospital). Pretty much everyone has got their families involved in some gags: Hamada's wife in the Hotel advertisement clips, Matsumoto's brother (in Haunted House and Hospital) and his daughter's items (in Spy and the new one), Endou's brother and later whole family in Hotelman, Airport and latest one) and now even Tanaka's wife. I'm sure they didn't do it for some deep reasons, but just for the money and/or laughs.
Shin Onii was just a very popular character with much potential so they made him a recurring character. In the latest games he didn't even have much to do with Chiaki (ie. being a locked up criminal in Spy and a pilot and a false priest in the new batsu game).
And anyone would be shocked after something that embarrassed happened. Hamada went completely silent for a good while after Matsumoto sat on his face with his bare ass during the 24H Tag, but I'm pretty sure he didn't any deep feelings about it at then or afterwards.

Chiaki has always seemed very distant/cold in her appearance's, not doing much more than the usual, creepy "PU!" and saying her lines with a permament, half-assed smile. I haven't seen practically any non-Gaki related shows about her, but in one episode of as a guest in Morning Musume Games she was MUCH livelier ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQ0_Z_hGhpQ ).
Endou has definitely learned some sort of lesson, but I doubt this would bring the two back together.

BUT !

One of the few things that I happen to take personally is the drama between ENDO AND CHIAKI

I want to start off by saying I am pro-endo and chiaki I think they are soooooo cute together and took their divorce pretty hard even after fully knowing of endo's cheating ways which I do not support or praise or think is cool in any way shape or form! (to say the least NEVER CHEAT ON SOMEONE YOUR DATING JUST BREAK UP AND END IT CLEANLY)

With this being said, I can understand BOTH viewpoints (which I hope to cover my own personal opinion in both fashions); I get it, I understand WHY they do/did the playing out the drama (especially after reading Shizentaisuu-sama's analysis), but I am SO ANGRY at the producers for doing what they did and how they did it that it troubles me deeply. On nationalized television (VTR VTR! you know what I am saying!) you DO NOT put "personal dirty laundry" out to the whole world to see, so everyone can see your personal moments and thoughts outing you as the person we all tend to be when we are with someone we like alot. Every year Chiaki manages to get a small part in each years episode and jokes to Endo saying "HEY REMEMBER ME? YOU TREATED ME BADLY BUT BE HAPPY CAUSE I AM" it is the saddest heart-touching moment mixed with the deepest fustration and anger because she does NOT have to be in episodes every year to almost stay "relevant" to the public of the continuation of their divorce but also to give Endo those moments of "I am so happy to see Chiaki because I missed her so much".

It pulls me as a person to both directions of the spectrum because she makes you think "SHE STILL CARES ENDO YOU CAN CHANGE" Chiaki is that train you know is coming down the tracks you just don't know when she is going to arrive and when she does it becomes "Okay, is she going to be hurtful or helpful this time" I have yet to read the dialogue of this years episode to truly understand the weight of what and how things were exactly said with the whole drama the Mon-Day magazine and the trial scene but it angers me that she seems to HAUNT Endo! In skits, Chiaki would always seem to be "married or dating" that older gentlemen (you guys know the really skinny man who sometimes does a skit wearing just his underwear and talks real slow) as a way of showing Endo what SHE is feeling when she sees Endo with the Nanpa girls as if to say "if you can do it, so can i ! " Endo overal is one of my favorite members because of the person he shows himself to be, the average honest man who tries to be exactly the kind of person he is (i love the other 4 also but to make my point) he has flaws like every man has, some are easier to fix some are impossible to fix. If Chiaki really wanted to talk to Endo about such a personal problem it would be best to do it privately behind their own doors (and I understand/accept that SHOCK treatment does and can work as a desperation wake up call for some).

Now with all that being said, you can CLEARLY see that Chiaki deeply cares for Endo by refering to him has Oni-chan (her nickname for him) instead of calling him his real name but also for doing a little skit for him every year just to give her/him the chance to see each other again as if the production team WAS PURPOSELY trying to get them back together being on set together on the same day as if it was a moment of fate. Past years her role had seemed to be playful and comical with a slight feeling of bragging, but this year she seemed to be very intense, aggressive, concern, confrontational which we do not see from her from past episodes. When you are married to someone that bond with them is for life, even if you hate them you still want to see them happy and successful and most of the time want to do anything and everything you can to help them and I am truly glad Chiaki is reaching out to help Endo if he really has a bad problem because western girls would say "we broke up, we are done, I want nothing more from you" and as we all know they have different customs than ourselves when dealing with such problems.

Every year it becomes a Love/Hate struggle with this drama being played out, as soon as she comes on, I hate her thinking, "What now are you going to do to poor Endo!" but with such well placed words make me love her knowing she is a kind and considerate person wanting to do her part in getting help for a man who can't seem to find a solution.
after seeing endo after the court thing, i think 2013 will be a new fresh start for him. i think he learned his lesson well.

You are aware her lines and actions are scripted, right?
This is based on the mail he sent two years ago to Misa. He talked about her looking like an 'M' in her picture mail, so he suggested some "training" or "discipline" (the word choukyou refers to training an animal, or discipline in S&M play).

From Cocorico's Endou-san

It's been a whole year
Have you been well? It's been such a long time, I'd like to meet Misa
This time maybe we should do some of that 'training' next time we meet. Hahaha.
-END-

Translation note: Second line originally says "I'd like to see Misa for the first time in ages" = bad English
The "kondo koso" puts emphasis on "this time" in the last line, suggesting he didn't get to 'train' her last time :P

Not-so-humble opinion accepted ;) As for the "hochii" thing, I pointed it out since much of the humour in gakitsuka comes from language use (or misuse). They made fun of Endou several times for it, and Matsumoto even parodies it in the VTR furi. It's a joke in it's own right. Of course most of his embarrassment and chagrin comes from all his skeletons being taken out of the closet in true 'intervention' style.

-- 03.01.2013, 23:18 --

In my own opinion, it would have been nice if he'd shown some remorse, but back in the studio his only reaction was "on-air shinai de hochii" - 'I don't want you to do that on-air' (i.e. to broadcast that kind of thing). A joke to save face (with 'hochii'), but seemed to have more of a meaning of "my private life isn't open to jokes or the public"... I frankly don't see that much will change with Endou. And his mother just sat there laughing her ass off
Perhaps I'm reading too much into it? :x
Is obvious that the Gaki staff are forcing Endo to return to Chiaki. The couple together is so cute and the fans (Gaki fans) like them. When was the last time his new girlfriend appeared in the show, on a recording? Count the times it happened. Now count the times that Chiaki appeared in the show. This becomes quite obvious especially in the latter batsu (teachers batsu game, Endo family with Chiaki, and so, this mail message episode). This is so clear. |(
Gaki no Tsukai big enormous fan!
I do want to emphasize, we are treading into the realm of gossip here... none of this is really based on anything factual or concrete... although it is fun ^-^.

There's a huge difference between a talent (ie. someone who makes his/her living by appearing on television) who was also a recurring gag in the series even before she got divorced and a former manager who works backstage. Matsumoto's wife hasn't appeared (as far as I know) in the show either, but that doesn't mean the staff wouldn't want her to be with Matsumoto: she doesn't appear because the staff respects her privacy and Matsumoto's wishes to keep her out of the public eye. Appearing in the show means for both the girlfriend herself and the Gaki staff to want to do the appearance, but I don't really see either happening (Gaki probably doesn't see any reason to use her in the show and even if they did, she could just reject the offer to keep her privacy).

And as Tabermac and others (including myself) have already said before, all Chiaki's lines and actions in the show follow scripts made by the Gaki staff. If you believe he calls Endou still Onii just out of respect, do you also think Shin Onii (or Endou's little brother) is her actual boyfriend? Or that she goes all PU! on her private time? Gaki no Tsukai is a just a television show.

With that ultimately being said, its STILL CHIAKIS CHOICE with the words she ultimately chooses to say IN THE MOMENT going ON/OFF script with her INTENTION of what she is trying to say is the underlining principal. Anyone can read what they are told and sound like total robots, but at times you can see other celebrities while doing their funny skits enjoying themselves in the moment laughing or holding back the laughter or dragging a joke out far longer than it should be, but they sense it will make it far funnier to continue doing something so simple that it makes it much more funnier in a different tone or infliction.

Just as Fein had said, she had the choice to deny doing the show, but she had agreed to do the show she had many years to stop appearing so shes either being paid really well or has a personal agenda she wants to get across and national television is the best forum for her to spread her message out to. And this is why she angers me
