Japanese comedians seem to have a huge impact on society. We know that besides their weekly shows, they occasionally take part in some TV series, movies, commercials, merchandising and they even may publish some music albums. That’s the case of Downtown and other usual ‘geinins’.

But apart from very few simple cellphone apps, they don’t get into the videogame industry (except for Takeshi Kitano’s infamously difficult NES game). That’s why this crazy idea came into my mind: [b:2fzb6d9z]What kind of Japanese-comedy-related videogame would you like to play?[/size:2fzb6d9z][/b:2fzb6d9z] Hamada Masatoshi’s Art Academy, Tanaka & Heipo in Silent Hill, Egashira 2:50 starring a modern day Dynasty Warriors, a big fighter game where you can beat the hell out of Yamazaki with Moriman or Chôno, an adult game featuring Endo, Deluxe and Matsumoto’s love techniques, a Lincoln racing game (with or without GPS), a GTA-like starring all of them, a classic platform game, a graphical adventure with crazy puzzles, some MMORPG where you have to become a famous comedian and beat the others… Perhaps the most probable one that fits the best with reality is a big compilation of minigames and challenges, like Ubisoft’s Rabbids franchise.

… But anyhow, let’s dream. How do you imagine your own videogame?[/size:2fzb6d9z]
Here you have a poll. Feel free to select up to 3 options[/color:2fzb6d9z]

DownTown Racer. Probably the best name ever for a racing game yet? :?:

Racer game like Mario Kart would be fun to play!
But I guess mini-games or some adventure kind would work out just as fine :)

There is actually a famous game about Katou Cha and Shimura Ken called [b:g742pwgd]Kato-chan Ken-chan[/b:g742pwgd]. It was even featured on Gamecenter CX.

The so-called "character games" weren’t that uncommon in Japan, though they usually featured more popular people like idols. Even Yoiko had their own game for the Game Boy Advance.

When it comes to Downtown, I would wish for something like Gaki no Tsukai: The Batsu Game Simulator. The objective would be to be get as few spanks as possible while going through the different skits and running jokes. It could feature all the previous batsu games as recreated levels and maybe a whole new original one like the speculated Firemen or Monastery. You could set traps, play with the props and choose different reactions for different situations in order to make other members laugh. You could have choosable playing characters, Tanaka being relatively easy and Matsumoto being the hardest. Each would also have their own weaknessess (like sadistic gags for Hamada and Chiaki for Endou) and strengths (Matsumoto being good at playing with dolls and other props, while Yamazaki’s solo antics would make others laugh relatively easily).
The actual gameplay would probably be something like The Sims, but also featuring button-smashing to resist laughter and minigames/quick-time events (aka QTE, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JvYY8RyAtQ ) to complete simple tasks or small challenges (like the vault jumping in Enthusiastic Teachers).

How about a pachinko game? I never played one so I have no idea of how it works.

Anyway, a series of minigames would be great.
Like the warioware series. Those 5 sec minigames, or a mario party-like game.
