I think this episode shows the importance of a good script. Scrolling around Twitter and 2ch for reactions, most people were critical of Fujiwara and the fact that he really didn’t help by writing a bad script. Some were critical of Downtown for failing to correct it well enough but they did state that they felt a little uneasy with the script too.
At the very least, it was nice to see them doing manzai again and it did give us a bit of an insight into how practicing manzai works.
How disengaged are Downtown, that they can’t even do a Manzai routine alone. We never see Downtown doing things alone, just the two of them, anymore. Is kind of sad, to think that those glorious Manzai days or just the talk on the show are never coming back.
It makes you feel that Downtown is already dead
