Just wanted to mention to newer members, and remind the older members of our friend shibatabread.

To those who don't know, he's the guy who brought us the translations for the Hospital, Police, Hotelman, and Spy batsu, as well as many other Japanese shows and clips. He's also a founding member of this site.

He hasn't been around the site recently nor mentioned by anyone, so just wanted to be sure people are still supporting his sites: - where he hosts his subbed videos

and - where he hosts his podcasts and has various other interesting Japan related articles.

He may or may not be helping translate this years batsu game, so stop by and show him your support and appreciation of him even when there isn't a batsu game to be translated.

who DOESN'T know shibata ?!!
as always... shibata who? ;)
thanks Kyon for reminding me..
(just went to shibata's site yesterday)
Actually ShibataBread said sometime earlier this year that he's not gonna be subbing the Batsu Games anymore (it's probably much easier to sub 20-minute or so clips than a 3-4 hour show). I wonder who will step up and sub this year's Batsu Game?
Yeah, Shibatabread said that there was too much pressure put on him to complete the subs. It's a real shame, especially since the videos he subs that aren't batsu games are still hilarious.

Great man, and great work.
I'm here BECAUSE of Shibatabread. That guy is a friggin legend!
Yes, massive kudos to Shitbata, even if he doesn't want to continue his project. Thanks for helping us all experience this odd little gem of Japanese culture, Shibata!
Shibata  i still frequent his blog to see what he's been up to. 8)
