The kanji has always got the same meaning. There’re just numerous of ways to read it and matsumoto is using the one which only is used if the kanji is written together with another kanji. So what he says doesn’t really give meaning, but it easy to figure out what he’s talking about since he’s pointing at it all… hope that made any sense. It’s very hard to explain this kanji stuff
